Men’s Volleyball World Championship : Lions Continue Preparations In Slovenia

The 2022 Men’s World Volleyball Championship will take place in Poland and Slovenia from August 26 to September 11, 2022. The national men’s volleyball team is in Slovenia where they are finalising preparations ahead of the competition. Since their arrival in Maribor, Slovenia, the national senior men’s volleyball team has been training hard. The team played some friendly matches with others teams.  The Lions played a friendly match against the national team of Qatar on Sunday August 21, 2022. They beat Qatar 3-2 sets. 
The Lions were expected to play another friendly match against Egypt yesterday August 22, 2022. At press time yesterday the match was still going on.  The purpose of the friendly matches was to test the team before the World championship. The team will leave for the city of Lubiana today August 23, which is the host city for the meetings in pool B. It should be recalled that the volleyball Lions, vice champions of Africa, are lodged in group B with Slovenia, France and Germany.
