Heavy Rains Ushered Lake Kuk Colour Change

The Senior Divisional Officer for Menchum has allayed fears of an imminent gas explosion in Lake Kuk. In a communiqué signed August 30, 2022, the SDO quotes scientists as saying the recent change of colour and ordour emanating from the lake is due to heavy rains witnessed recently in the area. This caused rain water to pour particles into the lake orchestrating a metabolism that led to the change of colour and nauseating ordour reported around the vicinity of the lake. He called on the population to be calm but to however remain vigilant and to report any such activities in their area.
