U19 Men’s African Volleyball Championship : Cameroon Wins Bronze

They beat Tunisia 3-1 sets during the third place final that took place at the El Jadida Gymnasium on Sunday September 11, 2022.

The national men’s U19 volleyball team won bronze at the just ended U1 Men’s African Volleyball Championship in Morocco. They beat Tunisia 3-1 sets (25-22, 24-26, 25-27, 25-23) in the third place final that took place at the El Jadida Gymnasium on Sunday September 11, 2022.  It was a rather though game for the boys of Coach Emmanuel Wadawa.
The Lions won the first set 25-22 but fell in the second set as the Tunisians put up a strong fight and grabbed the set 26-24. Cameroon won the third set 25-22 thanks to powerful strikes from players like Nkeme Tanga Abdouramane and others. The Lions went further to win the fourth set 25-23. At the end of the game, Parfait Djida won the trophy for the best Libero.  During their first game in the competition, the U19 Lions of Cameroon were beaten by Tunisia. For their second meeting during the competition Cameroon U19 Lions overpowered the Tunisians.
The Lions had a rather timid start in the competition. In their first outing they lost to Tunisia 0-3 sets on September 3, 2022. The following day they were beaten by Nigeria 3-1 sets.
