Professional Championships: Pre-season Euphoria Grips Clubs

They have engaged in several activities notably tournaments, organising GAs and friendly matches to improve on their performance in the upcoming season

The launching of the MTN Elite One Championship is billed for October 15, 2022 meanwhile that of the second division football bonanza is slated for October 29, 2022. With the countdown to these championships narrowing down, professional clubs in the country are continuing preparatory activities to boost their performances. After resuming training, the clubs have associated friendly matches and pre-season tournaments to sharpen their skills. Again, clubs are continuing with new signings, others have held their General Assemblies to map out a way forward. As for what concerns preseason tournaments, the third edition of the International Solidarity Tournament is underway in Yaounde with several elite clubs taking part. Elite clubs in the North West will as well be taking part in the second edition of the Bamenda Solidarity pre-season tournament. The tournament is billed to run from October 2-9, 2022 at the Bamenda Municipal stadium. Participants include; PWD Bamenda, Yong Sport Academy, Foncha Street FC and Bafut Rangers. Apart from participating in these tournaments, some clubs have had friendly matches in preparation for the new season. Bamboutos de Mbouda that is preparing for the final of the Cup of Cameroon recently played a friendly match with Canon sportif de Yaounde. Colombe Sportive du Sud have also played friendlies against Bamboutos of Mbouda and Dragon de Yaounde.
