Aline Guimbang : Female Referee Officiates Final

Aline Guimbang was one of the centre of attractions in the men’s final of the football Cup of Cameroon pitting Coton Sport of Garoua and Bamboutos of Mbouda yesterday October 2, 2022 at the Yaounde Omnisport Stadium. She officiated the game as central referee and her dexterity attracted admiration. She was assisted by two other women, (Carine Atezambong, first assistant and Marie Josèe Ngo Biem, fourth official) and one man, Mvoula Jean Noel (second assistant). Aline Guimbang blew the kicker with much courage and confidence.
Given the stakes of the match, she showed no sign of fear or intimidation but was very steadfast and prompt in decision making.
