Gregg Berhalter : Forward-thinking Manager

The US former player led the team to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as head coach.

Gregg Berhalter is the first U.S. World Cup veteran to take the reins of the U.S. Men’s National Team as head trainer. He played for the US at two FIFA World Cups, including the USA’s memorable run to the Quarterfinals in 2002 in Korea/Japan. Apart from this, the coach who was appointed in December 2018 is the first U.S men’s national team boss with experience as a player and a coach both domestically and internationally.
One of the major challenges when he took over as trainer was to take the team to the 2022 World Cup after they failed to qualify in 2018. A task which he honourably delivered as the team booked its spot in the 2022 FIFA world cup finishing third in the CONCACAF qualifiers.
