Morocco-Croatia : Match Ends In Stalemate

The 2018 finalists could not break down the spirited African side as both teams settled for a point yesterday afternoon in Group F.

The Atlas Lions of Morocco and Croatia played out to a goalless draw yesterday afternoon in their first group game at the Al Bayt Satdium. Chances were few and far between the two sides as they cancelled out each other for the third goalless game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup so far.
Moroccan winger, Hakim Ziyech who made his return to the team looked to provide the creative spark in the opening stages of the game but his rustiness could tell in the final ball. The Chelsea winger and full back Achraf Hakimi provided the outlet for Morocco’s attacks and it’s the combination between the two that played in Youssef En Neysri who scuffed his shot just wide.
The star-studded midfield trio of Kovacic, Brozovic and Modric weathered the early storm and got the game under control for the 2018 World Cup finalists but surprisingly couldn’t find their forwards on a regular basis.
