Media : Intense Mobilisation

They have been active on the front to give their audience accurate information on the Indomitable Lions but also on every detail around the World Cup.

It is a busy morning at the Qatar National Convention Centre, QNCC- the building chosen to host the main media centre of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Each in their corner, journalists are filing in stories for their various media organs, others conducting interviews or doing stand ups.
Among these journalists is Rene Katche who works for the Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV. 
“It has been a race without end since we came to Qatar. On normal days, I have to trail the Indomitable Lions at their training grounds and file reports for various news programmes and prepare my notes to run commentaries on match days,” Katche said. Like Katche, the over two-dozen media professionals from Cameroon present in Qatar to cover the 2022 FIFA World Cup have had a busy schedule. With the compact nature of the tournament, they have been in the thick of the action, hopping from one stadium to the other after matches or training sites spread across Doha.
