IAI Bafoussam Branch Inaugurated

The Bafoussam branch of the African Institute of Computer Sciences (IAI) has been inaugurated. The center was officially inaugurated by the personal representative of the Israeli Ambassador to Cameroon, Anan Zen, in the presence of the Permanent Secretary in the West Governor’s office, Adrey Epante Tazeu, representative of IAI in Cameroon, Armand Claude Abanda, on,14, December,2022.
In a welcome speech, IAI, representative to Cameroon, Armand Claude Abanda, said IAI is an inter-states information and communication technology school, created in 1971, aimed at empowering youths and other stakeholders to contribute in the fight against poverty, and economic and social development. He said the Bafoussam branch was second in Cameroon after Yaounde, promising that more of such branches will be setup in the years ahead. Armand Claude Abanda, revealed that students admitted into the IAI Bafoussam University institute, have a three-year programme, adding that students admitted will do two years, in Bafoussam and complete one year in “Centre d’excellence technologique Paul Biya in Yaounde to become ICT engineers.
For his part, the Israeli Ambassador’s representative, Anan Zen, said Cameroonians need among other things affordable access to information that remain vital to their livelihood, like education, health, trade, etc. He said Israel remains a country of friendship to the world and love to see development in almost all spheres of life with its partners.
