Tense Electoral Process At FECAVOLLEY : Clarifications Made

They were given by Samba Ngwana on behalf of 2/3 of the statutory members of the 2013 GA during a press conference on January 6, 2023 in Yaounde.

Following the Extra Ordinary General Assembly held on January 4, 2023 by 2/3 of the statutory members of the 2013 GA of the Cameroon Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY), tensions continue to plague the electoral process of the federation. It is against this backdrop that the Jan. 4 meeting conveners gave a press conference on January 6, 2023 in Yaounde to clear the air. Samba Ngwana, statutory member of the 2013 GA, spoke on behalf of his peers.
The clarifications were given in five main points. The first was the context within the sports federations since 2016. Samba Ngwana said, “To make it simple, none of the decisions taken by the outgoing President after 2016 have any value, because his mandate was valid only for one Olympiad”. In the second point, Samba said administrative tolerance is not a right. He explained that “the end of the mandates and exceptional situations that followed have made some bad-tempered presidents to take advantage to modify the texts and strike out potential opponents in their ambitions to renew their mandates”.
