UNIFFAC Tournament : Limbe Is Set

The Central African Republic, Congo and Chad are already in the country ahead of the competition that kicks off tomorrow, January 12, 2023.

The 2022 UNIFFAC Tournament will kick off in Limbe tomorrow, January 12, 2023. In this light, the different delegations are already in Limbe to get used to the environment before takeoff. Some delegations like the Central African Republic, Congo and Chad are already training in Limbe. Each delegation is aiming to grab one of the two tickets to qualify for the AFCON. 
The DR Congo has withdrawn from the competition after 22 of its 37 players were tagged ineligible. Out of 15 players found eligible for the competition, 10 did not have passports to travel to Cameroon.  On their part, the Cadet Lions are continuing with their preparations in Limbe. Their objective is to qualify for the AFCON. The team had a training session in Limbe yesterday January 10, 2023. The head coach, Jean Pierre Fiala Fiala and the players are working out wining strategies in order to secure a spot in the AFCON. Top officials of UNIFFAC and the executive committee are already in Limbe to wait for the D-day. With the absence of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the organising committee will have to review the calendar of the tournament 48 hours to the start of the competition.
