Guinness Super League : Goals Flood Day One

A total of 19 goals were scored in five matches played over the weekend.

The third edition of the Guinness Super League has taken off with much more enthusiasm and determination looking at the number of gaols scored on match day one. A whooping 19 goals were scored in five matches of the women’s top flight championship as the game against Eding versus Canon did not hold.
The flood gates were opened by the inaugural match of the championship. which was the only game programmed on January 14, 2023 with the rest slated for Sunday January 15, 2023. Lekie FF scored four goals as against two goals netted by their opponents Éclair FF. It was an afternoon of braces as Raissa Nnanga and Brenda Tabe scored two goals each for Lekie. On the other side, Elian Bibout was the architect of Éclair’s two successful shots. Lekie FF harbouring the stars of the tournament hope to continue in the same light as they take on newly promoted side, AS Fortuna in day two’s top match this Wednesday. But it may be a complex game as AS Fortuna equally produced one of the most thundering victories of day one. In a clash of new comers, they beat Ngadeu FF 4-1. This was thanks to a double from Indomitable Lionesses’ defender Catherine Bengono as well as goals from Aristide Poula and Claudia Foe.
Defending champions, AS Awa equally contributed four goals in the 19 scored on match day one. They crushed Caiman of Douala 4-0.
