Live Group B : Côte d’Ivoire-DRC Share Spoils

The Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire played a 0-0 tie against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the second group B Game yesterday Wednesday January 18, 2023 at the Stade 19 Mai 1956 in Annaba.  No goal was scored in the encounter that looked exciting and rather difficult. Côte d’Ivoire started off well with good control of the ball but lost several opportunities. The Democratic Republic of Congo put up a strong fight but were unable to break through the Ivoirian defence wall. Both sides had a difficult time as they all lost the several opportunities they had. At the 35th minute, Côte d’Ivoire came close to scoring but lost the opportunity. The Congolese equally mounted pressure on the Côte d’Ivoire but not for long. The first half ended in a scoreless draw between DR Congo and Côte d’Ivoire. 
Even though the Congolese were dominated, they never gave up with the hope of improving their chances. But they could not stand the wrath of Côte d’Ivoire.
