Houssem Eddine Mrezigue : Algeria’s Strong Man

Houssem Eddine Mrezigue is a player to watch out for at the upcoming final match of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN 2022) in Algeria. The young and energetic midfielder played a pivotal role during Algeria’s 5-0 bashing of Niger in the semi-finals that took place on January 31, 2023 at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium in Oran. 
Houssem Eddine did not score a goal but the 22-year-old CR Belouizdad star put up an excellent performance, controlling the tempo and momentum of the game to start Algeria’s attacks moving up the pitch and creating chances for the Desert Foxes against Niger in the first semi-finals. His contribution to the teams success earned him the Man of the Match Award.
