Najat Rochdi: MINREX Receives Departing Diplomat

The Resident Coordinator of the United Nations (UN) System in Cameroon, Najat Rochdi has expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between her organization and the Republic of Cameroon during her four years sojourn in the country. She said the Development Framework and Cooperation which is to start in 2018 has been finalized with significant progress made as funds are already available and projects started. Najat Rochdi was speaking to reporters in Yaounde on Friday February 10, 2017, after her farewell audience with the Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella.  
According to the outgoing UN System Resident Coordinator, the audience served as an opportunity to assess “where we stand regarding development and most importantly the development framework and cooperation. We also talked about the humanitarian development nexus where obviously as UN in support with the government, it is important for us to end the needs and the emergency situation and get as soon as possible in laying grounds for development and addressing resilience.” Both officials equally reviewed the last political dialogue and expressed satisfaction with the implementations of the recommendations.
