The Cameroonian won the Mount Cameroon Race of hope in 1986 and 1987.
The exploits of Lekunze Leku Timothy at the Mountain Cameroon Race live on though he had journeyed to the Great Beyond. He made history by winning the Mount Cameroon Race twice. He mounted the rostrum in 1986 having challenged the chariots of the gods in 3hrs:47ms:59s. He repeated the feat again in 1987 by beating his own records in doing the race in 3hrs:46ms:34s.
Lieutenant in the National Gendarmerie, Lekunze Leku kept his fitness in 1987 and trained his count...
