Menchum, Boyo Divisions: Governor Crusades For Schools Resumption

 Absentee teachers who are not examples in mobilisation efforts are warned.

Schools and colleges offering teaching and learning for the English subsystem of education in the North West Region remain shut since the resumption of the 2nd term of the 2016/2017 academic year. It is against this backdrop that North West Governor, Adolphe Lele Lafrique went sensitising teachers and parents on the benefits of education in Menchum Division on February 14, 2017.The Governor went mobilizing the population to give children a chance in their fundamental right to education.  In effect, Governor Adolphe Lele L'Afrique took time off in Wum to warn teachers who are not models in efforts to encourage the resumption of schools. It is all about absentee teachers and others who have not resumed duty since the teacher's trade unions leaders suspended the strike action on the 4th of February, 2017.
He urged the Divisional Delegates of Secondary and Basic Education to monitor absentee teachers to be axed for wrong doing. He also challenged stakeholders of the education sector to reason and get children back to school and discussed  president  Biya's message to the youths on the eve of 11th February 2017 during a working session with the elite and a cross section of Wum inhabitants.
