Promote 2017: More Follow-up Support For Investors

Investors ready to set up businesses in Cameroon will henceforth receive follow-up support from the Investment Promotion Agency, IPA. The agency will in 2017 hinge on the reception, assistance, guidance and setting up of businesses for foreign and domestic investors at all stages. The General Manager of IPA, Marthe Angeline Minja, made the pronouncement on February 14, 2017, in the stand of the enterprise at the Yaounde Conference Centre where the sixth International Exhibition for Enterprises SME and partnership is holding.
It was on the side-lines of unravelling of a giant investment project of the French Group Carrefour and its partners, CFAO that seek to set up a shopping mall in Cameroon. Douala and Yaounde are set to host the supermarkets for a start, Luc Demez, General Manager of CFAO Retail, Cameroon told guests. The PlaYce Shopping mall will offer a one-stop shopping experience to Cameroonians. The novelty is expected to serve customers shop services, restaurants, fast food court, relaxation joints and services. Luc Demez said Cameroon will be the second country after Côte d’Ivoire to host PlaYce. Cameroon’s position as giant in Central Africa played to its favour, with Luc Demez disclosing that contracts will be signed with local industries for the supply of some goods.
