Minister Recommends Honourable Performance

A joint preparatory meeting between the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education took place in Yaounde yesterday March 21, 2023.

Less than 48 hours to the Indomitable Lions qualifier against the Brave Warriors of Namibia, preparations have reached high gear in the country. A joint preparatory meeting between the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education and the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) took place in Yaounde yesterday March 21, 2023. The meeting brought together officials of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, authorities of the Centre Region, partner ministries, the Forces of Law and Order and other stakeholders. 
The purpose of the meeting was to seek ways and means of ensuring a successful holding of the international match on Friday March 24, 2023 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde. It was equally an opportunity for FECAFOOT to clarify the participants on the state of preparedness as far as the organisation is concerned, security and other issues. Concerning the choice of the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium for the match, the President of FECAFOOT, Samuel Eto’o clarified that it is the coach who chooses the stadium where the match will be played. Also, that all the stadiums are homologated and so the match can be played in any stadium. He said the gates of the stadium will be opened two hours before the match.
