Donga Mantung : Presidential Couple Assists IDPs

The needy internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the five Subdivisions of Donga Mantung Division are certainly enjoying the assistance of the Presidential couple, President Paul Biya and wife Chantal Biya. The Governor of the North West Region Adolphe Lele Lafrique handed the assistance to representatives of the beneficiary internally displaced persons during a ceremony at the Nkambe municipal ground stand on Saturday March 25, 2023. The items included 50 cartons of soap, 50 cartons of sardine, 150 bags of rice, 100 blankets, 30 cartons of vegetable oil and 200 buckets.
Handing the gifts in the presence of local administrative, religious and traditional authorities, Governor Lele Lafrique specified that they were gifts from the Presidential couple at the beginning of the farming season.  He told them that the Head of State was quite aware of their difficulties, especially the hurdles of some of the IDPs to sustain their lives.  “The Presidential couple has come to their assistance to help them take care of themselves and be ready to increase food production in Donga Mantung to help us fight against food insecurity not only in the Nort...
