Elite Championships : Eight Referees Suspended

The decision was taken recently by the referee’s committee of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).
Some eight referees and assistant referees of both the MTN Elite One and Two Championships will not be programmed till the end of the season. This follows a March 30, 2023 communique made public by the referee’s committee of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT). According to the communique, the suspended match officials are accused of unethical behaviour during games they handled in the ongoing championships. They include; Esumba Edwin, Akimbon Jason, Djibrila Hamadou, Rex Banadzen, Abadoma Aurelien, Njigi Marius, Ada Nda Didime and Elouti Arthur.
Before citing the names of the referees, the Committee stated the matches that these officials officiated in which complaints were later raised. One of the most recent in the Elite One championship is in the game AS Fortuna of Mfou and Gazelle FA of Garoua at the Military Stadium in Yaounde on Thursday March 29, 2023.
