Making Water Accessible : Partnership For Better Service Delivery

This will enable the water utilities corporation to share and gain experiences on how to make water accessible to all, especially to rural areas.

The availability of drinking water in rural areas in Cameroon is still a far-fetched dream, but the Cameroon Water Utilities Corporation- Camwater is not lying on its laurels reasons why authorities of the corporation are doing their best to make better the situation. In effect, Camwater on Wednesday, April 12 joined the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) which will permit them share experiences with enterprises of other member countries within the commonwealth.
While signing the partnership agreement in Douala on April 12, 2023, the General Manager of Camwater, Blaise Moussa expressed his readiness to accept expertise and meet with potential investors. He also promised to share their experiences where and then need arises.
It was an opportunity for Camwater officials to present their five thousand billion five-year programme which is aimed at ensuring that everybody especially those in the rural areas of Cameroon have access to portable water. The five-year programme will also digitalize Camwaters’ system and will ensure that modernity is a reality.
On his part, the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council Lord Jonathan Marland said Camwater joining the CWEIC will give room for the gaining and sharing of experiences from other members. He said as a council they will work ...
