Congo Brazzaville: Former Deputy Intelligence Chief Dies
Col. Marcel Ntsourou, a former Deputy Intelligence Chief, passed away over the weekend in the Congo Brazzaville capital after taking ill. Radio France International reported that the Colonel died on February 17, 2017, in the Brazzaville Military Hospital. He was serving a life sentence for rebellion and illegal possession of firearms. Aged 60, Ntsourou is said to have suffered a malaise in his cell. Government Spokesman and Minister of Communication, Thierry Moungala, promised that results of the cause of his death will be made public – thus, there was no need for an international inquest.
