African Handball Clubs Cup Winners Championships : Four Teams To Represent Cameroon

FANZ (men and women) as well as FAP men’s and women’s teams are the flagbearers of the country in the competition that kicks off in Cairo, Egypt, today May 9, 2023.

The 39th edition of the African Men’s and Women’s Club Cup Winners Championships will take place in Cairo, Egypt from May 9 to 18 2023. Four Cameroonian clubs will be taking part in the competition. In the men’s category, Cameroon will be represented by Fondation André Nziko (FANZ) Handball Club and the Armed Forces and Police Handball Club (FAP) of Yaounde. In the women’s competition, Cameroon is equally represented by FANZ and FAP all Yaounde-based teams. The draw for the event took place on April 6, 2023 in Cairo, Egypt. In the men’s competition, FANZ will play in group A against Zamalek (Egypt) Widad Samara (Morocco), JSK (Congo) and Red Star (Cote d’Ivoire). The teams in group B are Al Ahly (EGY), Sporting Club (EGY), Raja Agadir (Morocco), FAP (Cameroon), Kirkos (Ethiopia). In the women’s competition FANZ women of Cameroon will play in group A with Petro (Angola), DGSP (Congo), FC Moknine (Tunisia), Sporting Club (Egypt), FANZ (Cameroon) and CS Nouasser (Morocco). The teams in group B are Primeiro d'Agosto (ANG), FAP (CMR), Habitat HBC (CIV), Al Ahly (Egypt) and AS Ottoho (CGO).
