Cameroon Rugby Federation : Normalisation Committee Takes Over

A normalisation committee to manage the affairs of the Cameroon Rugby Federation has been put in place. The official installation ceremony of the members of the caretaker committee took place in Yaounde on Thursday, May 11, 2023. After several failed general assembly meetings due to opposition from two camps, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education Narcisse Mouelle Kombi in accordance with the Rugby Africa took a decision to set up a standardization committee whose mandate will end in 2024. A special council of the continental apex body of rugby will be in the new office.
Speaking at the occasion, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi called on the newly-appointed members to make use of their different expertise in order to bring FECARUGBY out of the current disastrous situation. He assured them of the support of the ministry as they carry out the missions assigned to them. 
The members of normalisation committee include Onana Etoundi Felix, a magistrate by profession as president, Louisan Njoh Mbongue as Vice President, Martial Akamba as rapporteur.
