Table Tennis : Dewey, Canon Campions of Cameroon

The Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex was the venue of the finals of the national table Tennis championship on Saturday June 17, 2023. Organised by the Cameroon Table Tennis Federation (FECA TABLE TENNIS) the competition brought together the best four teams in the national championship. The play-offs tournament unfolded in the senior men’s and veterans categories. The senior men’s teams included Dewey Table Tennis Club of Douala, Top Spin Table Tennis Club of Buea, IUG Table Tennis Club of Douala and Canon Table Tennis Club of Yaounde. The veterans clubs were Apong Teo Table Tennis Club of Yaounde, Dewey Table Tennis Club, Canon Table Tennis Club and Vent de la Lekié Table Tennis Club of Yaounde. It was an opportunity to detect young talents. 
At the end of the competition Dewey Table Tennis Club of Yaounde emerged champions with six points. IUG Table Tennis Club of Douala was second with five points and Top Spin of Buea was third with four points. In the veterans’ category, Canon Table Tennis Club of Yaounde were the champions with six points. They were followed by Apong Teo Table Tennis Club of Yaounde with five points and Dewey Table Tennis Cub of Douala with four points. In the women’s competition, it was an away and a return leg competition that was won by IUG Table Tennis Club of Douala.
