Interpoules 2023 : Rendez-vous In Yaounde

The tournament will run from July 15-30, 2023 with the draw ceremony billed for today June 22, 2023, according to a communique signed June 20, 2023 by FECAFOOT’s SG.

This year, the crucial tournament dubbed the “Interpoules” to determine the two teams that will leave the regional league to the Elite Two championship will take place in Yaounde from July 15-30, 2023. This is according to a communique signed June 20, 2023 by the Secretary General of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Blaise Djounang. The press release further reveals that, the draw of the competition will take place today June 22, 2023 at the FECAFOOT headquarters in Yaounde. 
This year’s competition is baptised “Interpoules Yaoundé 2023”. The tournament thus leaves Limbe to the nation’s political capital Yaounde. In Limbe last year, Aigle Royal of Moungo and Victoria United climbed to the second division. 
The Interpoules brings together the champions of the 10 regional championship. According to information we got from the federation, this year, the 10 regional champions will be divided into two groups of five each. The teams will play each other in only the away leg. Each team is thus expected to play four matches. At the end of this group phase, the two best teams in each group will progress to the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals, that are finalists, will automatically gain their places in the Elite Two championship. 
The June 20, 2023 communique comes at a time when majority of the regional leagues are finalizing their championships that will produce their representatives for the Interpoules.  In the North We...
