FIBA AFROCAN 2023 : Intermediate Lions In Luanda

The team left the country on Sunday June 25, 2023 to continue with preparations before the start of the competition.

In less than two weeks the second edition of the FIBA AFROCAN basketball competition will kick off in Luanda, Angola. Ahead of the competition, preparations have hot up in the country. Presently, the Intermediate Lions team is in Luanda where they are continuing preparations before the start of the competition. The delegation left the country on Sunday June 25, 2023. Prior to their departure, the team trained at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex under the supervision of the coach Louise Marie Tsoungui and deputy coach Simon Mbabi. The coaches had selected 14 players who will defend the colours of Cameroon in Luanda. The players are from the different basketball clubs in the country. Among the list of players, four are from the Final Four champions, FAP Yaounde. They are Etienne Tametong, Cedric Tsangue, Cyrille Liale and Valentine Lele. Apart from that there are players from other clubs like Jean Paul Mouandjo (BEAC), James Nkethy (Ornyx Yaounnde) and Rostand Ndong (Douala Fire Birds), among others.
