2023 Wimbledon : Ngounoue Wins Junior Singles Title

The Cameroonian-born tennis star, is Team USA's second-straight girls champion in the tournament in London.

American tennis star, Clervie Ngounoue, won the Tennis Wimbledon girl’s singles title on Sunday July 16, 2023 after defeating the Czech Republic’s Nikola Bartunkova 6-2, 6-2 in London. It was a first junior grand slam title for the Cameroonian-born tennis star, whose previous best finish were quarterfinals appearances at both the 2023 French Open and the 2022 U.S. Open. A two-time Grand Slam champion in girls' doubles at the 2022 Australian Open and earlier this year at Roland Garros Ngounoue is the third American to win a girls' singles Grand Slam title this decade, and second straight at Wimbledon.
