African Cadet and Junior Championships : Cameroonian Judokas In Madagascar

Some 20 athletes are representing the country in the competition that kicks off today July 2023 in Antananarivo.

The 2023 edition of the African Cadet and Junior judo championship will take place in Madagascar from August 27 to 29, 2023. The competition which is organised by the African Judo Union will bring together athletes from across the continent. The competition will unfold in the men’s and women’s categories. Cameroon will be represented in the competition by 20 athletes; 13 juniors and seven cadet judokas. The Cameroonian delegation left the country on July 24, 2023 or Madagascar to get used to the environment before the kick off of the competition. The delegation which includes four coaches was led by the Secretary General of FECAJUDO, Me Tekam Kamsu Kom. The President of FECAJUDO, Me Alain Christian Kingue is the general supervisor. Prior to their departure, the objective of the players was to put up and honourable performance in the competition. 
During recent major international competitions, Cameroonian athletes have made the country proud through their performances.
