The African Boxing Championship entered the sixth playing day yesterday August 2, 2023 with the quarterfinals bouts at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. A total of 24 bouts of the sixth session were on programme with four Cameroonian boxers involved. For a start, Cameroon’s Narcisse Mevoah Melono lost on the 54kg fight to Azoui Imad from Morocco. In the second Cameroonian bout, Jean Junior Messi Elime overpowered Irakoze Rally from Burundi in the 67kg fight through knockout.
