Volleyball : Lionesses Set To Take Off

After roughly three months of preparation, the team was announced to touch down on Cameroon from Slovenia yesterday August 10, 2023.

The days are narrowing down and the enthusiasm as well as the effervescence heighten ahead of the 2023 edition of the Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship to kick-off this Monday August 14, 2023 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. The different participating nations are progressively touching down on Cameroon and the Volleyball Lionesses who have spent about a month in Slovenia; bracing up ahead of the competition are not left out. “The Volleyball Lionesses of Cameroon return home on Thursday August 10, 2023 at 9:15p.m. via the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport from Maribor in Slovenia,” a communique made public yesterday morning by the Communication Unit of the Cameroon Volleyball Federation reads. “The National Team, led by Manager Peter Nonnembroich, currently made up of 16 players, returns to the country after completing a three-month training camp in preparation for the Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship which Cameroon is hosting from August 14 to 25, 2023 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex,” the communique adds.
The Lionesses thus come back to the country equipped and full of skills as per echoes of their training in Slovenia.
