Saudi Arabia International Para Table Tennis Championship : Cameroon Wins Gold

The victory was the first for the country in the competition.

 Cameroon’s para athlete, Alex Fotso has made the country proud in the international scene. He won gold in his category at the just-ended Saudi Arabia International Para Table Tennis Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  The victory was the first for Cameroon in the competition. Prior to his departure, Alex Fotso trained in Cameroon and was part of the national table tennis Cup of Cameroon competition. 
The Championship brought together 154 male and female players from 16 different countries, showcasing their talents at the Ministry of Sports hall in Riyadh over a span of two days. The event was organized under the supervision of the International Table Tennis Federation and in collaboration with the Saudi Table Tennis Federation. The participating teams were Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, Syria, Iraq, Japan, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Turkey, Slovakia, Georgia, Cameroon, Poland, Russia, and Nigeria. The competition marks the first time that the event is held internationally in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the support of the International Table Tennis Federation.
