Egypt Records Second Victory

They crushed Mali 3-0 in a day two game that took place at the Mfandena Gymnasium yesterday, August 17, 2023.

Egypt has recorded its second victory in the ongoing Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship in Yaounde, Cameroon. The Egyptians crushed Mali 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-6) in a day two game that took place at the Mfandena Gymnasium yesterday, August 17, 2023. It was the first match of the day at the Mfandena Gymnasium. Egypt who are regulars in the competition had an easy ride over the Malians who are debutants.  
The Egyptians began by proving tough right from the first set scoring the first five points before any response from Mali. The Malians however fought hard to catch up with the Egyptians but they had to do with a strong and experienced Egyptian side. Egypt won the first set (25-10) and continued in the second set wining (25-9). In the third set, Mali struggled to match up with their opponents but the Egyptians once more demonstrated their superiority in the game and won the third set (25-6). It took the Egyptians 59 minutes to beat Mali. The victory was the second for Egypt in the competition after they beat Algeria 3-0 in their first game on August 16, 2023. 
As for Mali, the defeat was the second after they were beaten 3-0 sets by Nigeria in their first outing.
