Morocco-Lesotho : Old Brooms Face Beginners

The 2023 Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship enters the third playing day today August 18, 2023. Among the matches of this day, Morocco log horns against Lesotho at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. 
Morocco are at their eighth participation at the Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship. In the 2021 edition, the team clinched bronze medal after beating Nigeria 3 sets to 0 in the third-place match. These thus make Morocco one of the favourites in this competition even though they have not been able to clinch any crown. Their best performance was in 1987 when they won silver. They are logging horns against Lesotho that are at their first participation in this competition and our evidently out to learn from the experienced teams. This far, Morocco have won one of its two matches. They won Burkina Faso on August 16, 2023 and lost against Uganda yesterday August 17, 2023. The game was highly contested but Uganda carried day 3 sets to 2.
