CAF Champions League : Coton Sports To Fight For Progress

After the 0-0 tie, the lone Cameroonian representative takes on AS Real Bamako on Sunday August 27, 2023 in Garoua in the second leg of the first preliminary round.

Sunday August 27, 2023 is going to be a very decisive day for Coton Sport of Garoua as concerns their progress in the 2023-2024 CAF Champions League which recently kicked off. This is given that the lone Cameroonian representative in the CAF inter-club competition will be playing the second leg match of the first preliminary round against Mali’s Champions, AS Real Bamako. 
In the first leg in Mali, Coton Sport failed to nourish their chances of progressing by only clinching a 0-0 draw. This means that to be on a safe side, Coton Sport must win Sunday’s match in their confines in Garoua.
This feat is not farfetched given that Cotonites must have learned from their errors in the first match as well as understood the playstyle of their opponents and have coined out workable solutions. They went back to training fields immediately they returned to Cameroon after the draw knowing that Sundays’ game will be complicated and needs extra determination and fighting spirit to go through. 
The technical staff and management of the club have been putting all on deck to see that the team does better in this competition than in the last edition.
