CAF Women’s Champions League : AS Awa Stands For Cameroon

The club battles it out with TP Mazembe (DR Congo), Huracanes (Equatorial Guinea) and AS Epah Ngamba (Congo) in the UNIFFAC qualifiers this September in Malabo.

AS Awa Football club of Yaounde, 2022 champions of the Cameroon women’s division one championship dubbed the Guinness Super League, are the representatives of the nation at the upcoming qualifiers of the CAF Women’s Champions League. The African football governing body made public the programme of the UNIFFAC zonal qualifiers on Sunday August 27, 2023.
AS Awa is expected to battle it out with TP Mazembe (DR Congo), Huracanes (Equatorial Guinea) and AS Epah Ngamba (Congo) in the UNIFFAC qualifiers scheduled between 8 and 14 September, 2023 in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea.
According to the programme, AS Awa opens their qualification campaign against AS Epah on September 8, 2023 before meeting Huracanes on September 11, 2023. Their last match will be against TP Mazembe on September 14, 2023. The tournament will take the form of a mini-championship with three points for a win, a point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
