Rugby XII Cup of Cameroon : Raiders, Bulls Yaounde Winners

The Yaounde Omnisports Annex Stadium 1 was the venue of the 2023 edition of the Rugby XIII Cup of Cameroon on Saturday September 16, 2023. Organised by the Cameroon Rugby League Association, the competition brought together four best teams in the championship. The competition unfolded in the men’s and women’s categories. It was an opportunity to detect new talents and for other aspiring players to develop interest in the Rugby XIII. Supporters from Yaounde and its environs watched with enthusiasm young Cameroonians display rich talents in the sport. The kick off was given by the representative of the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Moussa Bouba Ghislain. 
In the men’s final, Bulls Rugby Club of Yaounde beat Guépards of Douala 8-0 in a tough encounter that kept supporters on their feet shouting at the top of their voices and cheering the players. The teams put up excellent perfomances and fought hard to lift the trophy. Bulls of Yaounde began by dominating the encounter with a good play style. Bulls of Yaounde began by dominating the game given their experience. Guépards of Douala put up a strong resistance warding off any attempts by the Bulls of Yaounde. The Guepards made several attempts to score points, but they were held back by the solid defence wall of the Bulls of Yaounde team. Both teams separated at half time on a 4-0 margin in favour of Bulls of Yaounde. The Bulls team got four points trail and lost one transformation. 
On resumption, Bulls continued with their onslaught but they were stopped in most of their attempts by their opponents. However, Bull of Yaounde were more tactical and were able to score four additional points. Bulls got a trail and one transformation making a total of eight points. At t...
