African Handball Clubs Champions Cup : Four Clubs To Represent Cameroon

The delegations arrived in Brazzaville on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 to continue with preparations ahead of the kick off today September 28, 2023.


The 44th edition of the African Handball Clubs Champions Cup will kick off in Brazzaville, Congo, today September 28, 2023. Organised by the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB), the competition will bring together 19 teams (ten male and nine female) from the continent. The competition that will run till October 8, 2023, will be an opportunity for African clubs to showcase their talents to the world. Four clubs are representing Cameroon in the competition. They are FAP Handball Club of Yaounde (men), FAP Handball Club of Yaounde (women), FANZ (men) and FANZ (women). 
The Cameroonian flagbearers arrived in Brazzaville on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 to continue with preparations ahead of the kick off today September 28, 2023. Prior to their departure, the teams trained intensively in their various hideouts in Yaounde. The four teams rounded off their preparations at the Mfandena Gymnasium in Yaounde on Saturday, September 23, 2023 before heading for Brazzaville. The opening match will pit Zamalek of Egypt against Adidja Handball Club of Benin. Still on the first playing day, Red Star will play against Petro Sport and DGSP of Congo will take on Bandama Handball Club of Côte d’Ivoire. Cameroonian clubs will begin the competition tomorrow, Friday September 29, 2023. FAP Yaounde will play against Petro Sport of Congo and FANZ Yaounde will face Primero of Angola.
