U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers : Lionesses Finalise Preparations

Less than four days to the first leg qualifying round against Botswana in Douala, the U20 women’s team is working tirelessly ahead of the encounter.

The national U20 women’s team of Cameroon will play the away leg of the double encounter of the second round qualifier for the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup at the Reunification Stadium in Douala on October 7, 2023. Less than four days to the encounter, the U20 Lionesses have intensified preparations.  The team and the technical staff are leaving nothing to chance as they prepare tirelessly for the encounter. The players are in camp since September 18, 2023 in Okoa Maria in Mbankomo near Yaounde where they are polishing up their skills ahead of the encounter. 
The team is working under the supervision of the head coach, Hassan Balla. The players and technical bench are working out winning strategies in order to put up an excellent performance next Saturday. Training takes place twice daily to keep the players on top form. During the training session, the Lionesses played friendly matches with some clubs in the local championship. Coach Hassan Balla used the matches as evaluation for the players.
