Gambia : Ready To Stun Opponents

The Gambia will play in group C with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Senegal and Guinea in a group believed by many as a group of death given the quality of the teams. Compared to the other teams in the group, Gambia may be seen as a small opponent but they are no easy pushovers. Gambia has taken part in only one Africa Cup of Nations competition. Even though it will be their second participation, the Scorpions of Gambia may turn out to be the surprise element in the group. Gambia qualified for the 2024 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations after they played a 2-2 tie with Congo in Marrakesh on September 10, 2023. 
The draw earned Gambia the lone point it needed to advance towards a dream second Africa Cup of Nations tournament. The Gambia ended the AFCON qualifiers ranking second on Group G that is headed by Mali.
