MTN Elite One : Competitiveness Grows

The fourth playing day begins today and clubs have this far been very determined in the tussle for points.

After the third playing day which ended on Sunday October 15, 2023, Canon consolidated its leadership in Group A with seven points. The Yaounde-based outfit is separated from newly-promoted side, Dynamo of Douala because of a superior goal difference of +3 but both sides share seven points each. This close follow-up comes to throw weight on pundits who think that the competition has been very competitive since its kick-off. The third position in Group A is held by AS Fortuna with five points. The Douala-based club is followed by four other clubs that all share four points each and are just separated at the level of goal difference.
The situation is similar in group B. If Stade Renard is leading after the third playing day with seven points, three ahead of second-placed Avion, the remaining clubs are following each other back-to-back. The determination of the different clubs to keep their heads high during this edition of the competition was highly seen in the Coton-Fauve Azur game. The champions of champions, Coton Sport was beaten 0-1.
