Guinness Super League : Kick Off On October 21

This is the outcome of a meeting between club presidents and FECAFOOT that took place on Wednesday October 11, 2023 in Yaounde.

The 2023/2024 Guinness Super League will officially kick off in Douala on October 21, 2023. The opening match will pit Authentic Ladies of Douala against current Guinness Super League champions, Lekié Football Filles of Yaounde at the Bepanda Omnisports Stadium. This is the outcome of a meeting between club presidents and FECAFOOT represented by Celine Eko, Vice President of FECAFOOT and President of the Women’s Football League that took place on Wednesday October 11, 2023 at the headquarters of the Cameroon Football Federation in Tsinga, Yaounde. 
The purpose of the meeting was to deliberate on the launch of season four of the Guinness Super League and also map out strategies for the new season. At the end of the discussions, clubs received balls, jerseys and other equipment to help them prepare for this weekend’s opening. The Authentic Ladies’ clash with Lekié Filles will be the first Guinnessico of the season and marks the return to the championship won by the Centre Region last season. Authentic Ladies will be counting on their close season acquisition of multiple Guinness Super League winner, Hassan Ibrahim, as head coach to make a difference not only in the opener but in the whole of their season. 
Some 12 teams will compete in the Guinness Cameroon SA bankrolled championship next season. Newcomers, Dja Sports of the South Region and Ita Mbong of the North West Region qualified for the championship during the play offs that took place in August in Yaounde.
