MTN Elite Two : AS FAP, Leopard Share Points

AS FAP of Yaounde separated on goalless draw with Leopard of Douala during a day six match that took place at the Yaounde Omnisports Annex Stadium 1 yesterday, Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Fans from Douala and Yaounde thronged the stadium to cheer the players and to see their team at least secure their stay in the competition. The game began well with both sides determined to make a difference. AS FAP dominated the game from the start putting much pressure upfront but they lost their scoring opportunities. Leopard Douala fought back and had some chances but they squandered them. It was a game of missed opportunities. A glaring opportunity came at the 36 minute for Leopard to open scores but it was lost. Half time scores was 0-0.
On resumption, AS FAP continued with their onslaught but they had to deal with the vigilant defense of Leopard of Douala. Leopard came much stronger making several attempts on the opposing camp but unfortunately most of the shots were off target. The stalemate continued despite several attempts by both teams. Replacements by the coach of Leopard to add fresh blood to the game did not help much. Leopard had a golden opportunity at extra time but lost it.
