Cameroon Ballon d’Or : Who Will Be The Winners?

The Cameroon Football Federation will award the best player of the year in the local championship. Initially announced for October 7, the award ceremony will finally take place tomorrow December 16, 2023 at the Yaounde Conference Centre. The Ballon d’or ceremony is an occasion during which players are rewarded for their performance during the season. This year’s edition of the Ballon d’or is the second after the last edition in 2022. Ahead of the event, the organising committee has published a list of three nominees for the trophy. A 16-man jury for the 2023 edition of the Cameroon Ballon d’or was announced during a press conference held in Yaounde on December 5, 2023.
This year, eight categories duplicated in two for women and two for men will be honoured. These include the men’s and women’s Golden Balls award, the top scorer in the Guinness Super League and the top scorer in the MTN Elite One and Two, the top goalkeeper in the women’s category and the top goalkeeper in the men’s category, the revelation of the year in the GSL and the MTN Elite One and Two, the women’s and men’s team of the season, the top coach, the top referee in the women’s and men’s categories and the top assistant referees. Organisers also added three special awards: Goal of the Year, Fair Play and Club of the Year. The public equally had their say in determining the winners by voting online through the support deployed by the official sponsor MTN.
