Cycling : International Cyclist Union Supports Cameroon

The equipment were presented to the public at the headquarters of the federation in Anguissa, Yaounde recently.

The International Cyclist Union (UCI) donated equipment to the Cameroon Cycling Federation (FECACYCLISME). A ceremony to present the equipment to the public took place at the headquarters of the federation in Anguissa, Yaounde recently. The donation is part of the UCI Solidarity Programme. The donation of seven bicycles, including six road bikes and one time trial bike, is estimated to worth more than FCFA 50 million following the federation’s request for support from the UCI Solidarity Programme. It will be used to develop cycling in Cameroon. 
Speaking at the occasion, Honoré Yossi thanked the authorities particularly the Head of State Paul Biya and wife Chantal Biya for their attention in the organization of activities of the cycling federation notably the International Cycling Tour of Cameroon and the Chantal Biya International Cycling Race. He also thanked the Minister of Sports and Physical Education for his untiring support for the sports activities of the federation and all stake holders who have contributed to the success of the federation.
