Cameroon’s Opponents At Work

Pooled in Group C, Senegal, The Gambia and Guinea have already begun their training camps ahead of the continental showpiece.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are pooled in Group C alongside Senegal, The Gambia and Guinea. As the Lions are bracing up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, so are their opponents.
Guinea for example is in Abu Dhabi. The Syli National received the Guinean flag from the hands of the President of the Republic, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, on Saturday 29 December 2023. The ceremony took place in the town of Forécariah, in Kalako. After receiving the national flag, the Syli National took off for Abu Dhabi where they are currently preparing for the AFCON. Having left Conakry with a squad of 22 players; the remaining players including Naby Keita progressively arrived the camp. According to the programme of the team, a friendly match against Nigeria will take place on 8 January 2024 before Kaba Diawara's team travels to the competition venue in Côte d'Ivoire on 12 January 2024.
