Guinness Super League : FC Ebolowa Honourary Champions

FC Ebolowa are the champions of the first phase of the Guinness super League championship for the 2023-2024 season. The Ebolowa team beat AS Fortuna 2-0 during a day 11 match that took place in Yaounde on Saturday January 6, 2024 to widen the gap on the top. FC Ebolowa striker, Alice Flora Kameni, finished as the 11th woman of Guinnesico.  It was the first time in the history of FC Ebolowa to win the honourary title. The victory propels FC Ebolowa to the first spot with 31 points five points ahead of Authentic of Douala and four points ahead of the Lekié Filles. 
Even before facing AS Fortuna for final day of the first leg of the Guinness Super League, FC Ebolowa Filles were already assured of finishing as honorary champions for the first part of the season. Boosted by their status, Coach Oudou Kpoumié's girls were determined to end the first leg on a high with a fine 2-0 victory over their opponents, just as they had started. Once again, Flora Kameni was decisive. The native of the Upper Nkam Division in the West Region of the country not only scored her 15th goal of the season, but also enabled FC Ebolowa to break a record for the number of goals scored by a single player in the first leg of the GSL (15). 
At the end of the first phase, Alice Flora Kameni emerges as the best scorer with 15 goals. Heutchou Ernestine is second with seven goals and Mekoko Adriene six goals. For the best attack, Lekié FF was the first scoring 28 goals. FC Ebolowa is second with 27 goals and Authentic Douala with 27 goals scored. The weakest attack was AS ...
