2024 African Games : Competitions Officially Take-Off Today

The wait is over! The 13th African Games officially kick-off today, 8 March 2024, in Accra, Ghana. The vibrant opening ceremony to take place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium will be a spectacle, showcasing the continent's rich cultural heritage, diverse sporting talents, and the unity fostered by this prestigious event. 
Thousands of athletes from across Africa will converge on Ghana, aiming to bring their athletic dreams to life. This year, the theme, "Experience the African Dream", resonates deeply, as eight of the 29 sports disciplines will serve as qualifiers for the Paris Olympics in 2024. The competition unfolds across three Ghanaian cities of Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast, from March 8 to 23, 2024.
