National Basketball Championship : Women’s Final Four Rumbles Off

The women’s national basketball championship gets into the crucial Final Four stage this weekend. The away leg of this phase consisting of three playing days kicks off this Friday April 5, 2024 and runs till April 7, 2024 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. The four competing teams are defending champions, Overdose Up Station, Daniel Battiston, FAP and University of Douala. 
The opening game pits Overdose against Daniel Battiston at 4 p.m. This game promises to be electrifying given that Battiston have been a serious threat to the defending champions. At the end of the regular phase of the championship, Battiston topped the standings and Overdose could only come second. To properly negotiate this crucial phase, Overdose has recruited three international players. Thomas Apolonia Janine from United States, Ogedengbe Tobiloba Bidemi of Nigeria and Nkombo Pembe Ashley Brell from Congo are the three new bloods in the squad. The club has seen enough potentials in these players that could greatly help them conserve the prestigious title.
